Allister’s experience in hospitality spans nearly 25 years within high street pubs and bars, and contract catering, where he has made his name as an influential leader.
Allister Richards
He moved into the foodservice industry in 2003, joining Sodexo where he held various managing director roles across the Corporate Services business. In 2011, he staked his claim as an industry disrupter when he left Sodexo to found Gather & Gather. Under Allister’s leadership, the progressive business enjoyed great success and as a result it was sold to CH&CO in 2019.
Recognising Allister’s talent for growth and his client-first approach, he became responsible for all group companies within CH&CO. His impact and contribution to the sector was recognised at the 2021 Cateys with the Foodservice Caterer Award. He played an integral role in CH&CO joining Compass’ Group of Companies on 30 April 2024.
Allister’s homelife is fully occupied with his four children, and he wouldn’t have it any other way… but he does still make time to indulge his love of food and wine whenever possible!
