Having worked in finance throughout his career, working in multiple roles for both PwC and Tesco, Gareth brings his wealth of strategic and directorial knowledge to Compass.
Gareth Sharpe
Gareth joined the Compass family from Tesco, where he previously worked as CFO for Asia. His nine-year career there included time working in the UK retail and Dunnhumby businesses, before relocating to Bangkok in 2018, playing an integral role in the subsequent sale of the Thailand and Malaysia businesses in December 2020.
In 2021, Gareth was appointed to the Board for Springboard, a charity to support disadvantaged and unemployed people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life into the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry - reflecting his interest in helping people get into work.
Having previously been responsible for business in Thailand, Malaysia and India, Gareth has a passion for Asian cuisine. A keen sportsman, he enjoys playing golf, cycling and hiking, with the latter two typically built around finding a nice pub in the countryside for lunch.
